Senior Planning Enforcement Officer - East of England
£40-£45/hour (inside IR35) - Hybrid/Flexible working - Interim contract

A proactive Local Authority in the East of England is looking for an experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to take on a varied caseload of residential, commercial, and conservation breaches.

What You’ll Do

• Lead investigations into planning breaches

• Draft and serve formal notices

• Represent the council at appeals and Inquiries

• Advise colleagues, councillors, and residents

• Support junior officers where needed

What You’ll Bring

• Proven local authority enforcement experience

• Confidence managing complex cases

• Strong grasp of planning legislation and enforcement procedures

• Excellent communication and report writing skills
