The Role:
As a Town Planner, you’ll play a key role in managing a diverse caseload of planning projects, supporting senior colleagues, and engaging directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing, managing, and submitting planning applications and appeals

• Conducting site appraisals and preparing planning statements and reports

• Providing well informed planning advice to clients and colleagues

• Contributing to local plan representations and development plan submissions

• Assisting in the coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams

• Developing strong relationships with clients and external partners

About You:

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited)

• 1-3 years’ experience in a planning role, ideally within consultancy or private sector

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent understanding of the planning process and relevant legislation

• Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• A proactive attitude and ambition to progress your career in planning
