Assistant Planner / Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established planning and development consultancy in their search for an Assistant Planner / Town Planner to join their Manchester office.

The Role:
As an Assistant Planner / Town Planner, you will be involved in a variety of planning work including:

Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

Conducting research, site appraisals, and planning policy reviews

Assisting in the preparation of planning statements, design and access statements, and development appraisals

Supporting senior team members on major applications and client projects
-
Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders
About You:
-
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited)

1–3 years of post-graduate experience in planning, ideally within consultancy, development, or local authority

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
-
Ambition to work towards MRTPI accreditation (if not already achieved)
