Are you a motivated Town Planner looking to progress your career with exciting projects on the South Coast? We’re working on behalf of a highly respected planning consultancy in Southampton that is expanding its team due to a strong and growing client base across Hampshire and the wider South East.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a planner with a solid understanding of the UK planning system who’s ready to take the next step in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.


🔎 The Role:

As a key member of the planning team, you’ll work on a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors – from strategic land promotion to detailed planning applications and appeals. You'll liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, helping deliver high-quality planning outcomes that shape sustainable, thriving communities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals

  • Providing planning advice to clients and internal teams

  • Carrying out site appraisals and feasibility assessments

  • Engaging with local authorities and attending consultations

  • Contributing to business development and client relationship management


✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • MRTPI or working towards chartership

  • 1–5 years’ experience in a planning role (consultancy or public sector)

  • Strong communication and report-writing skills

  • Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
