Are you a Town Planner looking to develop your career in a supportive, forward-thinking consultancy environment?

We’re working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy in Newcastle that’s looking to add a Town Planner to its team. The firm works across a broad range of sectors – including residential, commercial, education, and energy – offering a varied and engaging workload.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong presence in the North East and the wider UK, with excellent support for progression towards MRTPI (if not already achieved).

🔍 The Role:

Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals
Support senior planners on major applications while managing your own caseload
Conduct site visits and liaise with clients, local authorities, and consultants
Provide planning advice and contribute to strategy and design development
Stay up to date with local and national planning policy changes

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Town Planning degree or related qualification
Around 2–5 years of experience in planning (public or private sector)
Working towards MRTPI (or recently chartered)
Strong written, analytical, and communication skills
Based in or willing to travel to Newcastle and the surrounding region
