Are you a motivated Town Planner looking to join a respected planning consultancy with a strong presence across the East of England?
We’re working with a highly regarded consultancy in Cambridge that’s looking to strengthen its planning team with the addition of a Town Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 2–5 years’ experience in the planning sector who is looking to work on a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the region.
You’ll be joining a friendly and knowledgeable team with a collaborative culture, clear career progression routes, and support towards MRTPI (if not already achieved).
🔍 The Role:

Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents

Advise clients on planning policy, development potential, and strategy

Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams

Attend site visits and client meetings within the region

Support senior planners on complex schemes while managing your own caseload
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Town Planning degree (or related)
-
Around 2–5 years of experience in a planning consultancy or local authority
-
Ideally working towards or already MRTPI qualified
-
Confident communicator and able to work independently and in a team

Strong understanding of the UK planning system, especially within the East of England
