A great opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a growing, friendly team within a leading planning-led consultancy. Based in Sheffield, this role offers the chance to support an expanding pipeline of exciting infrastructure and development projects across the UK.



You'll contribute to a wide range of schemes, ranging from public sector masterplans and community developments to private commercial and residential proposal, while collaborating across offices and disciplines. This is an ideal role for someone with a solid grounding in transport planning who wants to deepen their experience within a supportive, people-first environment.



As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to engage directly with clients, shape development strategies, and prepare key transport deliverables - playing a valuable role in delivering sustainable transport solutions across sectors.



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Travel Plans.
  • Analyse development-related transport data using industry-standard tools (e.g. TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, AutoCAD, Excel).
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to support project delivery.




Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related field.
  • Sound understanding of UK transport policy, planning frameworks, and the development process.
  • Technical proficiency in key software (e.g. TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage workload proactively.
  • A full UK driving licence.
