Renewable Energy Planner - Leading Environmental & Planning Consultancy Location: Dublin or Cork (Hybrid Options Available) Salary: €Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Progression Start Date: Flexible (Summer-Autumn 2025 ideal)

We're working with a market-leading Irish consultancy that is expanding its specialist planning team. Known for delivering some of the most complex and high-impact renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the country, they are now looking to hire a Renewable Energy Planner with proven experience in the Irish planning system.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of 200+ professionals working across planning, environmental, and ecology sectors - with an outstanding track record and a strong people-first culture.

The Role



You'll be part of a well-established planning team delivering major renewable energy projects across Ireland. The position is varied and fast-paced, offering exposure to projects at all stages of development from inception through to completion - including wind, solar, grid infrastructure, and energy storage schemes.

You will collaborate with internal specialists and external stakeholders to provide planning strategy, reporting, and applications support within a collaborative and innovation-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities



Lead or support planning work on medium-to-large scale renewable energy projects

Prepare high-quality planning reports, assessments, and related documentation

Undertake research, site assessments, and stakeholder engagement

Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, clients, and other team members

Contribute to strategy and project delivery across a wide range of energy schemes

What We're Looking For



A degree in Town/Urban Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited)

Minimum 3 years of post-graduate planning experience (ideally in a consultancy setting)

Strong understanding of the Irish planning system and environmental legislation

Experience with renewable energy or infrastructure projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach

Full clean driver's licence (essential)
