I am currently working with a busy Local Authority based in Cambridgeshire who are urgently looking for a Principal Planning Policy Officer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract, with view for extension. The Local Authority require assistance developing and supporting their Local Plan. The authority require someone started within the next 2-4 weeks. 

Role: Principal Planning Policy Officer

Rate: £55 per hour - Inside IR35

Location: Cambridgeshire 

Contract: 6-month rolling

Remote working: Hybrid working - once in office every few weeks

Job details:

• Assisting with the development of the first joint local plan in the area which incorporates major regeneration schemes and providing a number of strategic scale new low carbon districts within the area.
• Draft version of their Local Plan is currently being prepared to take to members in September. Consultation is later this year.
• Assisting with reviewing development management policies and site allocations.
• Ability to start within the next few weeks.
