Planning Consultant | Town Planning Consultancy | York
I'm currently working with a growing planning consultancy in York who are looking to add a Planning Consultant to their expanding team.
The business works with a varied client base, including developers, housebuilders, landowners and investors, advising on projects across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
They're looking for someone with a solid grounding in the planning system who wants to take the next step in their consultancy career.
The Role:
- Managing a range of planning applications and development proposals.
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals and supporting documentation.
- Advising clients on planning policy and development opportunities.
- Liaising with local authorities and external consultants.
- Monitoring planning applications and managing project deadlines.
- Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex schemes.
What They're Looking For:
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning.
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy or local authority.
- Working towards MRTPI or already chartered.
- Good understanding of UK planning legislation and policy.
- Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects.
