We’re working with a well-established consultancy in Milton Keynes that is looking to appoint a talented Senior Town Planner to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planning professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, take ownership of exciting developments and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

As Senior Town Planner, you will manage a varied caseload of planning projects, working closely with clients, consultants and local authorities to deliver successful planning outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating planning applications from initial assessment through to determination.
• Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
• Advising clients on planning policy, development potential and planning strategy.
• Liaising with local planning authorities, stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Supporting business development and building strong client relationships.
• Providing guidance to junior team members and contributing to the wider success of the consultancy.

About You

We’re keen to speak with motivated planning professionals who are looking to take the next step in their consultancy career.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working within a planning consultancy or a similar planning environment.
• A strong understanding of UK planning policy and the development management process.
• Experience managing planning applications and delivering projects to clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• MRTPI membership, or progress towards chartership, would be advantageous.
