Duties for the role of Senior Town Planner:
- Process planning applications and produce reports and recommendations to achieve deliverable outcomes
- Prepare evidence on appeals for internal and external clients
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues and more junior team members
- Contribute to business development by securing repeat work and apply commercial lens to all work undertaken
Requirements for the role of Senior Town Planner:
- Relevant degree within Town Planning or another related discipline
- Chartered or working towards RTPI membership
- Relevant experience working within either local authority or private consultancy
- Ability to manage workloads and meet both commercial and contractual needs of the company
- Ability to work independently across various planning sectors and alongside land owners, developers and industrial sites
- Working knowledge of current and emerging planning legislations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
