The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Planner to join an established planning consultancy based in Dublin.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner looking to progress into an associate-level position within a growing consultancy. You will have the opportunity to manage your own projects, work directly with clients and contribute to a wide range of significant planning and development projects across Ireland.

Requirements

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, Planning & Development, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience within a planning consultancy or relevant planning environment
  • Strong understanding of the Irish planning system
  • Proven experience managing planning applications and providing strategic planning advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client management and business development abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
  • Chartered or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland

Responsibilities

  • Managing planning projects from initial concept through to determination
  • Preparing and coordinating planning applications
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients and development teams
  • Liaising with local authorities, An Bord Pleanála and other relevant stakeholders
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Reviewing planning policy and development strategies
  • Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of the consultancy
