Duties for the role of Senior Town Planner:
- Significant experience working within a planning consultancy, developer or local authority environment
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development management
- Experience managing planning applications from inception through to determination
- Experience dealing with planning authorities and negotiating planning issues
- Excellent report-writing and analytical skills
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients' objectives
- The confidence to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and consultants
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to planning challenges
