Principal Town Planner – Manchester | £55,000–£70,000

We’re currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Manchester who are looking to appoint a Principal Town Planner to join their established planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner looking to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for managing projects, advising clients and helping to develop more junior members of the team.

The role:

• Lead and manage a varied portfolio of planning projects

• Provide strategic planning advice to clients

• Manage complex planning applications and appeals

• Liaise with local planning authorities and key stakeholders

• Prepare high-quality planning reports and statements

• Assist with business development and client management

• Mentor and support junior members of the planning team

About you:

• 7+ years’ UK planning experience

• Strong consultancy background preferred

• Excellent knowledge of the UK planning system

• Proven experience managing planning projects

• Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills

• MRTPI qualification is highly desirable
