Associate Director – Town Planning | London

My client is a leading town planning consultancy with an excellent reputation across the sector and an established presence in London.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director to join their team and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work on high-profile, complex planning projects while having a genuine influence on the direction and development of the team.

The consultancy works with a strong portfolio of clients across the development sector, including major landowners, developers, housebuilders and investors, advising on a wide range of high-value projects across London and beyond.

The Role

As Associate Director, you will take a leading role across a varied portfolio of planning projects, while also helping to develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and provide strategic planning advice on major and complex development projects
  • Manage key client relationships and play an active role in securing new instructions
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the London planning team
  • Support and mentor more junior members of the team
  • Work closely with senior leadership on wider business development and strategic initiatives
  • Build on an already strong professional network within the London planning market

About You

My client is looking for an experienced planning professional who can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience within planning consultancy and advising on complex development projects
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • An established network across the London planning and development market
  • Experience contributing to or winning new business
  • Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to lead, mentor and develop others
  • MRTPI status

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy with a fantastic reputation in the planning sector, a strong pipeline of work and ambitious plans for continued growth.

If you're an experienced Associate Director considering your next move — or simply curious about what else is available in the London market — I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
