Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of projects, they're looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their experienced team based in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping major developments from land acquisition through to planning approval, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a business that genuinely invests in its people.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you'll provide planning expertise across a diverse portfolio of residential-led developments, helping to maximise land opportunities and secure planning permissions that support the company's ambitious growth plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and managing planning applications from inception through to determination.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, statutory consultees and external stakeholders.
- Providing planning advice to internal land, design and technical teams.
- Supporting the appraisal of potential land acquisitions through planning due diligence.
- Managing external planning consultants where required.
- Monitoring planning policy changes and advising on their potential impact.
- Representing the business at meetings, consultations and planning committees where appropriate.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- MRTPI status or be working towards chartership.
- Previous experience within a consultancy, housebuilder, developer or local authority.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a collaborative team.
