An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Town Planner to join a highly regarded planning consultancy in Exeter. This is an excellent role for an ambitious planner looking to take on greater responsibility, lead projects, and contribute to the continued growth of a successful and collaborative team.
Working across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, strategic land, renewable energy and mixed-use developments, you'll be involved in delivering planning advice on projects that make a real impact across the South West and beyond.
The Role
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects.
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals and strategic planning advice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and local authorities.
- Support and mentor junior planners within the team.
- Play an active role in business development and identifying new opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
- MRTPI qualified.
- Significant experience within a planning consultancy or private sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
- Excellent report writing, communication and client management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the confidence to manage projects independently.
