Salary £29,540 - £31,537 Grade 4 (SCP 114-118)

Essential Car User (EUC) allowance payment up to £1003.44 per annum based on 1 FTE. Membership of the ECU is subject to annual review

The Role

You’ll be part of a skilled team of enforcement specialists, helping assist the team to deliver an effective and efficient planning enforcement service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual starting out their career in planning and looking to develop this further with potential support to gain a Masters Degree and membership of the RTPI. 

This is an opportunity to use your skill and talent to make a significant and immediate contribution to improving the quality of places in Charnwood and the lives of residents in our communities. We will offer you varied and plentiful experience in a busy planning office, liaising with a variety of stakeholders to effectively achieve Charnwood’s aims of supporting sustainable growth.

About You

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated, and organised person.  You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of the planning processes and gain valuable experience in dealing with planning enquiries related to breaches of planning control.  You will need to be a team player, with good time management skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.  The post will involve site inspections and therefore you will need to have access to a vehicle and the mobility to travel the Borough.
