I'm currently supporting several Local Authorities across the Midlands, Surrey, and Kent who are looking to appoint experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officers on long-term contract assignments.
These positions offer the opportunity to work on varied and complex enforcement caseloads, providing vital support to busy planning teams while enjoying highly flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

✅ Managing complex planning enforcement investigations
✅ Investigating breaches of planning control and unauthorised development
✅ Drafting and serving Enforcement, Breach of Condition and Stop Notices
✅ Preparing evidence for appeals, hearings, inquiries and legal proceedings
✅ Conducting site visits and stakeholder negotiations
✅ Working closely with legal teams, elected members and senior officers
✅ Progressing longstanding and high-profile enforcement cases
