A well-established and growing London-based planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Planner to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting development projects across London and the South East, advising a diverse client base from project inception through to planning permission and delivery.

The Role

As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in managing planning projects, providing strategic planning advice, and building strong client relationships. You will work alongside experienced planning professionals on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination.
• Preparing planning statements, site appraisals and strategic planning advice.
• Liaising with local planning authorities, consultants and stakeholders.
• Supporting clients throughout the planning process.
• Managing multiple projects while delivering excellent client service.
• Assisting with business development and helping to nurture client relationships.
• Mentoring junior members of the planning team where appropriate.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• MRTPI (or working towards chartership with significant experience).
• Around 4-8 years' experience within a private consultancy or local authority planning environment.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and the confidence to manage client relationships.
• The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment.
