A well-established and growing London-based planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Planner to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting development projects across London and the South East, advising a diverse client base from project inception through to planning permission and delivery.
The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in managing planning projects, providing strategic planning advice, and building strong client relationships. You will work alongside experienced planning professionals on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination.
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals and strategic planning advice.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultants and stakeholders.
- Supporting clients throughout the planning process.
- Managing multiple projects while delivering excellent client service.
- Assisting with business development and helping to nurture client relationships.
- Mentoring junior members of the planning team where appropriate.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- MRTPI (or working towards chartership with significant experience).
- Around 4-8 years' experience within a private consultancy or local authority planning environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to manage client relationships.
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment.
