This is an exciting time to join the Forward Planning Team as work begins on the development of the next Local Plan under the emerging new planning system.
These posts will play an important part in the development of the Local Plan. Duties include covering many aspects of the plan making process including supporting senior officers in developing policy and evidence-based preparation. You will also play a key role in the development and recording of the local plan and infrastructure monitoring.
To be successful in these roles, you will be team players, self-motivated, organised and good communicators.
Ideally, you will have worked in a planning policy and/or local government environment however this is not essential if you have the desire to be involved in the challenge of balancing new housing growth and employment land alongside the protection of important environments and habitats in the East Riding of Yorkshire. East Riding of Yorkshire is a diverse place to consider in terms of planning policy.
Working at this large Unitary Authority will give you an excellent insight into a wide range of planning considerations across urban and rural settlements within highly attractive coastal and rural landscapes. You will join a supportive and positive team with a strong track record of delivering sound plans and this will be a great opportunity to advance your career.
The roles are suitable for a blended working approach and will allow you to split your time working from home and County Hall, Beverley.
Hours: 37 hours each per week.
