Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in town planning?
I am currently working with a well-established planning consultancy in London that is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic development projects while receiving structured support towards professional development.
The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will work alongside experienced planning professionals and gain exposure to all stages of the planning process. You will assist with planning applications, policy research, stakeholder engagement and the preparation of planning strategies for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Undertaking planning policy and site research
- Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
- Liaising with local authorities, clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting the delivery of projects across multiple sectors
- Monitoring planning policy and legislative changes
Requirements
- Degree or Master's qualification in Town Planning or a related RTPI-accredited discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Eligibility to work in the UK
