We’re working with a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its established planning team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who is looking to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering planning advice across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, regeneration, energy and mixed-use developments. You’ll be joining a team known for delivering innovative and sustainable planning solutions on complex and nationally significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients and project teams
  • Supporting the delivery of major development and infrastructure projects
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants
  • Undertaking site appraisals, policy reviews and planning research
  • Assisting with business development and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
  • Previous experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management abilities
