We are working with a well-established independent planning consultancy in Dorset that is looking to appoint a Town Planner to support a growing pipeline of residential, commercial and rural planning projects across the South West.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced planning professionals, landowners, developers and private clients on a varied caseload that includes:
- Residential developments
- Rural and agricultural projects
- Commercial schemes
- Change of use applications
- Appeals and site appraisals
- Local plan representations and strategic planning work
The Role
- Preparing and submitting planning applications
- Managing projects from initial appraisal through to determination
- Liaising with local authorities, consultants and stakeholders
- Producing planning statements and supporting documentation
- Attending client meetings and site visits
- Supporting senior team members on larger strategic projects
About You
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
- Previous experience within either consultancy or local authority planning
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
- Full UK driving licence preferred
