About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Transport Planner or a Transport Planner with some experience to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop a career in transport planning, working on a diverse range of projects across development planning, infrastructure, and sustainable transport.
You will support senior team members in delivering high-quality transport planning advice and contribute to projects that shape how people move within urban and rural environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation (e.g. traffic counts, surveys, and modelling outputs)
- Use transport modelling software and spreadsheets to analyse transport impacts
- Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables
- Undertake site visits and assist with fieldwork when required
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Stay informed on transport policy, guidance, and best practices
Requirements
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or work related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Skills
- Relevant work experience and interest in development-led transport planning
- Knowledge of transport planning principles and UK planning policy
- Familiarity with transport modelling tools (e.g. TRICS, TEMPro, ARCADY, PICADY)
- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoTRACK
