Senior Town Planner – Derbyshire (Part-time)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic planning consultancy delivering projects across England and Wales.
This part-time hybrid position offers flexibility, with a base located just outside Sheffield alongside opportunities for remote working. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and managing planning activities across a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications.
- Undertake site appraisals and planning assessments.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic planning advice across a variety of developments.
- Manage planning projects from inception through to determination.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK planning legislation and policy.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a planning role.
- Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Professional, organised, and proactive approach to work.
- RTPI membership, or eligibility for membership, is desirable.
