We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Development Team Manager to lead our Development Management area teams and Planning Enforcement team. You’ll influence service improvement, develop your leadership style, and help guide planning across a district with exceptional environmental and heritage value.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Chief Planning Officer, you will:
✅ Lead and support Development Management and Enforcement teams
✅ Ensure high‑quality, timely planning decisions
✅ Provide pre‑application advice and contribute to policy/Local Plan work
✅ Work closely with Members, Parish/Town Councils and key stakeholders
✅ Present at Development Control Committee and Sites Inspection Panels
✅ Support planning appeals and customer queries
✅ Deputise for the Chief Planning Officer as needed
