Are you an experienced Senior Enforcement Officer looking for your next contract within a well regarded local authority?
A highly respected council in Surrey is seeking a Senior Enforcement Officer to support their planning enforcement function on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex enforcement matters, including cases involving Gypsy and Traveller sites. The role will involve preparing robust evidence, attending appeals, and representing the authority where required, including at High Court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on complex planning enforcement cases
- Handling sensitive cases, including Gypsy & Traveller sites
- Preparing statements, reports, and legal evidence
- Representing the council at appeals and in court (High Court exposure desirable)
- Conducting site visits, including urgent/emergency cases
Contract details
- Initially 2 days per week in the office/on-site BUT flexibility to decrease depending on workload
- Must be available for emergency site visits when needed
- Negotiable hourly rate – experience is essential
