Graduate Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy in their search for a Graduate Planner to join their dynamic London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to begin their planning career with a highly regarded consultancy known for delivering commercially focused advice on high-profile projects across London and the South East. The team works across a broad mix of residential, commercial, mixed-use and urban regeneration schemes, offering exposure to complex and exciting developments from day one.
The Role
As a Graduate Planner, you will support senior members of the team on a range of live projects while developing your technical knowledge and professional experience.
Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals

Undertaking site appraisals and research into planning policy and development constraints

Drafting planning statements and supporting documentation

Liaising with local planning authorities and external consultants

Supporting client meetings and project coordination
-
Monitoring planning decisions and changes in policy
About You

RTPI-accredited degree (or working towards RTPI membership)

Strong academic background with a keen interest in the built environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Organised, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced consultancy environment
