Graduate Planner
Location: Worthing, Sussex
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
The Role
A progressive, UK-wide planning consultancy is seeking a Graduate Planner to join its planning team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain real-world experience in town planning, working alongside experienced professionals on live projects across a range of sectors.
As a Graduate Planner, you will support the preparation of planning submissions and reports, assist with research and policy analysis, and help guide clients through the planning process from early appraisal to determination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of planning applications, reports, and supporting documents
- Conduct research into planning policy, site issues, and development opportunities
- Support due diligence, planning appraisals, and strategic advice preparation
- Liaise with local authorities, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Provide administrative and technical support to project teams
About You
- Recent graduate with a degree in Town Planning, Geography, Urban Design or a related subject
- RTPI Graduate Membership or working towards it is desirable
- Good understanding of UK planning policy and the planning system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic, organised, and eager to build a career in planning
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
