Town Planner – Manchester

We’re working with a well-established planning consultancy in Manchester that’s looking to bring a Town Planner into their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real project exposure, a clear progression path, and the chance to shape developments across the North West.
The role
You’ll be involved in a broad mix of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, supporting clients from early feasibility through to determination. The role offers genuine responsibility, client interaction, and mentorship from senior planners.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
- Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
- Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and clients
- Contributing to planning statements and supporting reports
- Keeping up to date with local and national planning policy
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI (or working towards it)
- Experience in a consultancy or local authority setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, commercially aware approach
