Town Planner

The Role
An independent UK planning consultancy is recruiting a Town Planner to join its Manchester team. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of planning instructions, providing strategic advice and support to help clients secure planning permissions for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting reports.
- Advise clients on planning strategy and development potential.
- Liaise with local planning authorities and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
- Conduct planning research, due diligence, and site appraisals.
- Work collaboratively with senior planners and multidisciplinary project teams.
About You
- Degree in Town Planning or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- RTPI membership (MRTPI) or working towards full membership preferred.
- Experience in planning consultancy, local authority or developer environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially aware, confident in client engagement, and able to work proactively.
