Assistant Town Planner – London
We’re currently working with a well-established planning consultancy and local authority clients across London who are looking to appoint an Assistant Town Planner to support a growing workload of exciting and varied projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career planner to develop their experience in a fast-paced London planning environment, with strong mentoring and a clear progression pathway.
The Role
As an Assistant Town Planner, you will:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Support senior planners with site appraisals, planning statements, and policy research
- Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and clients
- Monitor planning applications and contribute to project delivery
- Develop your understanding of London planning policy and development management
About You
Our clients are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Working towards (or an interest in) RTPI accreditation
- Some experience in planning (public or private sector – internships and placements welcomed)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and genuine interest in the London planning market
