The Role
A well-established, independent chartered planning and development consultancy with offices including Edinburgh is seeking an Associate / Director-level Planner to play a pivotal role in its senior leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a planning professional to shape and grow the planning offering in Edinburgh, influence strategic direction, and lead on a wide range of development projects across the UK and Ireland.
You will be empowered to put your own stamp on the role, leveraging existing networks while developing new business and delivering high-quality planning solutions to both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and secure new instructions across the region
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage and deliver complex planning projects from inception to completion
- Provide high-level planning advice across multiple sectors
- Contribute to senior leadership strategy and growth plans
- Mentor and support planning team members where required
About You
- Extensive experience in UK planning consultancy, with a strong track record of delivery
- Established professional network and ability to generate and convert leads
- Proven expertise in planning strategy, project management, and client engagement
- Strong commercial awareness and leadership capability
- RTPI Chartered status or equivalent professional recognition preferred
