Rate: £55–£60 per hour
Contract: Initial 3–6 months (potential extension)

My client in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Team Leader/Principal Planning Policy Consultant to support the Council’s Planning Policy team on an interim basis. The role will offer someone a key role in taking the Local Plan through to adoption.
Key Responsibilities

Managing the Local Plan through to adoption
-
Leading the consultation on Main Modifications following the Inspector’s interim letter
-
Managing the consultation process, including collation and submission of representations
-
Liaising with the Programme Officer and responding to further requests from the Inspector
-
Supporting the examination process through to receipt of the final Inspector’s report
About You
-
RTPI-qualified planner
-
Experience at Principal Planner, Team Leaderlevel
-
Strong background in Local Plan preparation and examination
-
Excellent understanding of current planning legislation and national planning policy
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced local authority environment
