Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their London office.
This is a great opportunity for a Town Planner to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, working on a diverse range of planning projects across residential, commercial and mixed use developments.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will support the delivery of planning projects from early-stage advice through to determination and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and managing planning applications and supporting documents

Undertaking site appraisals and planning research

Assisting with appeals and Local Plan representations
-
Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and clients

Monitoring planning policy and legislative changes

Supporting senior planners on a variety of projects
About You
The successful Town Planner will have:
-
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related subject

Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
-
Good understanding of the UK planning system

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A proactive and organised approach
