Senior Town Planner
Location: London

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well regarded and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their London office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Town Planner to take a key role within a dynamic team, working across a varied portfolio of projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will manage projects through the planning process, providing clear and commercially focused advice to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing planning applications and appeals of varying scale and complexity

  • Preparing planning statements, site appraisals and policy representations

  • Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and stakeholders

  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients

  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team

  • Assisting with business development activities

About You

The ideal Senior Town Planner will have:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • MRTPI status (or working towards)

  • Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority

  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive and professional approach
