We are working with a Local Authority in Surrey who are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to support their team on a 3-month contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced enforcement professional to assist with a resource gap and help clear a backlog of older enforcement cases.
The Role:
As a Senior Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for managing and progressing existing enforcement cases (no new cases will be allocated). The role will involve carrying out site visits across the borough, assessing breaches of planning control, and progressing cases in line with local authority procedures. There is flexibility to plan site visits efficiently, including undertaking multiple visits in one day. Weekly office presence on Wednesdays is required.
Contract Details:
• Duration: 3 months initially
• Rate: £45 per hour (umbrella)
• Hours: Full-time
• Working pattern: Hybrid (office presence on Wednesdays + site visits)
