📍 The Role
We’re recruiting an Associate Planner for a dynamic planning consultancy team based in Edinburgh. You’ll take responsibility for your own planning projects, including applications, appeals and development plan work, while contributing to a range of consultancy services across sectors such as housing, infrastructure, commercial, energy and leisure. Hybrid working arrangements are available for the right candidate.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planning applications and appeal cases from instruction to decision.
- Prepare planning appraisals, development plan submissions and supporting documentation.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform advice and client recommendations.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders and planning authorities to progress projects.
- Contribute to business growth by delivering high quality and commercially focused planning advice.
👤 About You
- RTPI-accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning.
- Minimum of approximately 5 years’ postgraduate professional planning experience.
- Highly organised with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Confident managing a varied workload, with strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Full driving licence and access to a car desirable to support duties across the UK.
