Associate Planner – West Midlands
As a specialist recruiter within the planning and development sector, I’m currently working with a respected consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Planner to strengthen their West Midlands team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead projects, and play a key role in business growth across the region.
The Role
As an Associate Planner, you will:
- Lead and manage a range of planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients and key stakeholders
- Prepare, submit, and oversee complex planning applications and appeals
- Support and mentor junior planners within the team
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
About You
My client is keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A strong background in UK town planning (public or private sector)
- MRTPI (or working towards with significant experience)
- Proven experience managing planning applications and engaging with local authorities
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- The confidence to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
