Location: West Oxfordshire / Full-time / Salary: Competitive salary + benefits

The Role

We are seeking highly motivated and intellectually curious Graduate and Planner-level professionals to join a growing planning consultancy working across a diverse range of sectors. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in complex and exciting development projects across Tourism & Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Agricultural, Country Estate and Strategic Land Development.

You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, supporting clients through the planning process by applying robust analysis, attention to detail and a pragmatic, solution-focused approach. The role is well suited to individuals who thrive on challenge, enjoy detailed investigation and are keen to build a successful career in planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Undertaking desk-based planning appraisals and policy research
  • Attending client meetings and site visits
  • Supporting ongoing monitoring of planning activities and developments
  • Conducting detailed investigations, including reviewing planning law, case law and legal precedent
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective planning strategies for clients
  • Providing high-quality written and verbal support to senior planners and project teams

About You

  • A Graduate or Planner-level professional with relevant experience in either the public or private sector
  • Already MRTPI accredited or working towards MRTPI status
  • Highly motivated, tenacious and detail-oriented
  • Confident working independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Intellectually curious, with a strong interest in planning law, precedent and problem-solving
  • Organised, professional and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
