The Role
As a Planner, you will work closely with senior planners and other team members to deliver a wide variety of planning projects across multiple sectors. You’ll support and lead on planning applications of varying scales and complexities, undertake site appraisals, prepare Local Plan representations, assist with appeal work, and contribute to high-quality planning advice for an established client base.

The consultancy offers a clear progression pathway, with increasing autonomy and responsibility as your experience grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications

  • Support senior staff with project work across a range of development sectors

  • Prepare site appraisals, planning statements, and policy research

  • Draft and submit Local Plan representations

  • Contribute to planning appeals and supporting documentation

  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and external consultants

  • Maintain strong project organisation and attention to detail

About You:

  • 2+ years’ experience in planning (consultancy, local authority, or developer background)

  • Relevant RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent planning qualification

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good understanding of the UK planning system

  • Professional, proactive, and eager to develop

  • Ability to manage your workload effectively and work collaboratively
