This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who enjoys a blend of strategic project work, client engagement, and hands-on planning expertise. You’ll be joining a consultancy known for its strong reputation across sectors such as residential, commercial, heritage, retail, and major mixed-use schemes. Their work spans the full development lifecycle, and they are particularly recognised for delivering high-quality, commercially sound planning advice to a diverse range of private-sector clients.
The Role
As Senior Town Planner, you will:

Lead and manage your own portfolio of planning applications, appeals, and pre-application proposals.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear, informed planning advice.

Prepare planning statements, policy reviews, and supporting documents with a high degree of independence.

Influence project strategy from concept through to submission.

Work collaboratively with a close-knit team of planners and associate consultants while retaining plenty of autonomy.

Represent clients at committee meetings, public consultations, and stakeholder discussions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

MRTPI accreditation (or be very close to achieving it).

Strong consultancy experience, ideally within the private sector.

A confident approach to client communication and project coordination.

Excellent report-writing skills and a sharp eye for detail.

A proactive mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for shaping development outcomes.
