Planner / Senior Planner – Greater Exeter

Location: Greater Exeter / Full-time / Salary: £30k - £35k DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess potential development sites, reviewing planning policy, site constraints, and opportunities.
  • Prepare planning appraisals, strategies, Local Plan representations, applications, and condition discharge submissions.
  • Coordinate consultant teams and review technical reports, surveys, and assessments.
  • Attend site visits, public consultations, and Local Plan examinations to represent and promote project proposals.
  • Support the progression of schemes through the planning process, ensuring effective coordination, timely delivery, and strong project management.

About You

  • MRTPI qualified or nearing submission.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using IT systems.
  • Solid understanding of the UK planning market and current industry trends.
