The Role

My client has significant growth plans and is seeking individuals with the enthusiasm and drive to be part of this exciting journey. They are looking to appoint an Associate Planning Director / Planning Director who will play a key role in their Birmingham office’s growth strategy—developing opportunities, strengthening relationships, and building on their existing success.

In this role, you will work on a wide variety of projects, from identifying new development opportunities to delivering major mixed-use urban extensions across the UK. You will collaborate with national housebuilders, land promoters, and landowners, becoming an integral part of the leadership team.

You will need:

  • A degree in town planning or a related discipline, along with significant experience within a planning consultancy

  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and regulations, with hands-on experience preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team

  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines and a strong commitment to client satisfaction

  • RTPI membership
