Location: Newcastle

About the Role:
As a Town Planner, you will support the preparation, submission, and management of planning applications and appeals for a wide variety of projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior team members and external stakeholders, contributing to strategic advice and assisting with planning appraisals, site promotion, and community consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing planning applications, statements, and supporting documents

  • Engaging with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders

  • Supporting planning appeals and development plan representations

  • Conducting research and site appraisals

  • Monitoring planning policy and assisting with site promotion

About You:

  • RTPI accredited degree or equivalent

  • Relevant experience in a planning role, preferably in consultancy or private sector

  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system

  • Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills

  • Proactive and commercially aware, with strong time management abilities

  • Working towards or already holding MRTPI status
