Town Planner – North West England

Location: Lancashire / Full-time / Salary: £30k - £35k DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of a multidisciplinary consultancy who is looking for an experienced Town Planner to join their well-established planning team in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit planning applications and support the management of appeal processes.
• Conduct site assessments and undertake background research to shape planning strategies.
• Liaise effectively with clients, local authorities, and a range of project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, statements, and other supporting documentation.
• Provide support to senior planners on complex or large-scale development projects.

Requirements:

• A degree accredited by the RTPI, or an equivalent planning-related qualification.
• MRTPI accreditation (or working actively towards chartered status).
• Previous experience in a planning consultancy or local authority environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• A proactive approach, with genuine enthusiasm for town planning and sustainable development.
