Senior Planning Policy Officer
Salary: £45,427 – £48,691 (including £5,000 market supplement)
Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Working arrangements: Hybrid (Up to 80% home working)

Full-time (part-time considered) | Permanent

Hays is excited to be working with Hart District Council to recruit a Senior Policy Planner at a pivotal moment in the authority’s planning journey. Hart is about to commence the development of its new Local Plan under the revised plan-making system, making this a particularly exciting time for a skilled planning professional to join the team and help shape the future of the district.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of planning policy projects, support the development of Hart’s new Local Plan, and play a key role in shaping the district’s future. What you will bring

  • Hart is seeking a motivated and capable planning policy professional with relevant post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Good understanding of planning legislation, policy, and emerging national reforms
  • Experience leading planning projects and providing policy advice
  • Strong communication, research, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Experience of working collaboratively across teams
  • Confidence in presenting at public meetings and contributing to consultations
