Location: Home Counties (Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days remote)
Contract: 9 months (likely extension)
Hours: Full-time (Part-time applicants considered)

About the Role:
Our client, a respected local authority in the Home Counties, is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Enforcement Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with significant experience managing enforcement matters related to Gypsy and Traveller sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage enforcement activities in relation to planning breaches, with a strong focus on Gypsy and Traveller sites.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on complex enforcement cases.
  • Prepare and present reports, notices, and evidence for legal proceedings where required.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and community representatives to ensure compliance and resolve issues effectively.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in planning enforcement within a local authority setting.
  • Proven track record of handling complex cases involving Gypsy and Traveller sites.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
